Seminário “O efeito BRICS: O impacto da cooperação Sul-Sul no campo social da cooperação internacional para o desenvolvimento”

O Supervisor Geral do BRICS Policy Center, Prof. Paulo Esteves, e a pesquisadora Geovana Zoccal participaram em junho de um seminário no Institute of Development Studies, cujo tema foi “The BRICS Effect: The  Impact of South-South Cooperation in the Social Field of International Development Cooperation”, onde falaram, dentre outras coisas, sobre o surgimento de novos atores e iniciativas no campo do desenvolvimento.

“The growing number of development stakeholders and initiatives in developing countries have added complexity to the social field of international development cooperation (IDC). Countries that have historically been recipients of development cooperation have been witnessing an increasingly presence of emerging countries, such as the BRICS countries, offering South-South Cooperation (SSC) as an alternative model for development.”
