Panel “South-South Cooperation and the UN Development System”

On April 25, 2019, the director of the BRICS Policy Center, Dr. Paulo Esteves, participated in the panel “South-South Cooperation and the UN Development System” at the event hosted by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI).

Paulo Esteves debated on the theme “South-South Cooperation and the UN Development System: Complement or Competitor? Role Model or Threat? “Which was also attended by Emel Parlar Dal of Marmara University, Turkey and Silki Weinlich of the German Development Institute, Germany. In addition, two other themes were discussed: “What South-South Cooperation Means to My Generation” and “South-South Cooperation and the United Nations: a Historical Overview” with participants Eunice Kamami, Drexel University student, USA, Itishree Singh, a student at Amity University, India and Janine Pickardt, United Nations Dag Hammarskjold Library.
