Event brings together GSUM researchers and Columbia University students to discuss violence, insecurity, and inequalities in Brazil

The research meeting took place on July 8, 2019, at BRICS Policy Center, and aimed to bring together GSUM (Global South Unit for Mediation) researchers and a student committee of Conflict Negotiation and Resolution Program of Columbia University to discuss researches on violence, security, and inequalities in Brazil. The event was organized in two main sessions, under the themes “Approaching the Production of Violence and Security in Latin America” and “Interrogating Inequalities, Urban Violence and Public Security in Brazil”.
